Panel App is a loyalty incentive app that runs by collecting location using GPS and internet connection. The location collected is then used by our parent company "Placed" to generate marketing reports of the population.
We've broken down how location is used for both our users and our company below.
What is location used for?
From a User Perspective:
Panel App uses location as a way for users to earn points passively without opening their app. It is also a way for us to generate surveys based on location.
For Panel App as a company:
Location collected from Panel App is used to generate aggregated marketing reports and analytics.
User location data is pools thousands of panelists location to provide meaningful insights to third parties about the population at large. Analytics and reporting are limited to aggregates of multiple users and are not available at the individual level to third parties and is not used for individual ad targeting.
We value our users privacy and remove any identifiable information (name, email, phone number, and/or address) provided within the app. Any identifiable information is only used for the functionality of our apps, so we can prize out or to help when users email into support.
